![]() ![]() I forgot one time and the only way was to factory reset the router. Only then you can commit/reboot, as far as I remember the password will be re-hashed after the reboot. I remember that the password is hashed with a MAC address, so before doing a commit/reboot, you need to set your password in the shell If they are different, changed them in the shell. ![]() If you just do this in a shell you should see them too: In the defaut GUI homepage, right column named "System Status", they are at the bottom of the column. # they are the same MAC addresses with +4 compared to the LAN/WAN (my 2.4GHz radio) # they are the same MAC addresses with +1 compared to the LAN/WAN (my 5GHz radio) # they are the same MAC addresses (as written under the router (the 3 last digits)) You need the CFEEdit.exe program to change the MAC addresses in the CFE, before flashing it, you did it, right?Īfter flashing and reboot, check in a shell if they are ok, the first 3 digits of the MAC are replaced by XVorteX firmware to the asus MAC address to foul it, it is 74 : D0 : 2B, always, whatever you put in the CFE as far as I remember.
